The Differences Between General Cleaning and Deep Cleaning:

10/18/2021

To help you understand both kinds of maintenance, a good company can help break down the basics.
General Cleaning vs Deep Cleaning: Know the Difference
Read on to find out the differences between general cleaning and deep cleaning, as they are not exactly alike.

What Makes General Cleaning Different and What's Included?

Typically, general cleaning services cost less, but routine cleaning focuses on maintaining the facility layout and is based on a schedule. The service you receive consists of simple cleaning tasks that are completed on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis with the schedule varying depending on your needs.

The main difference between a general clean and a deep clean is that one does a more detailed and thorough job than the other.

Some of the things a general cleaning includes are:
   1. Wiping down surfaces of dust
   2. Cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, office spaces, and more
   3. Vacuuming and mopping floors

What Makes Deep Cleaning Different and When Should You Deep Clean?

Deep cleaning applies more attention to detail than general cleaning. During a deep cleaning, cleaners will complete a more extensive list of tasks in a commercial building to help keep the environment clean for workers and guests.
During a deep clean, the focus is on wiping over everything twice and ensuring everything within walking and hand-grabbing distance gets sanitized. While deep cleanings cost more, there's more attention to detail when cleaning compared to general cleaning procedures.

Every situation is unique, however, the best time to perform a deep cleaning job is when a new season starts. We recommend doing a deep clean once every six months to a year.
